Welcome to Chew Valley Arts Trail Website
Our event took place on the weekend of Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th October 2011. It was a great success. Thanks to everyone who came on the trail and supported us. Thanks to all the venue hosts and participants for their hard work.
The details of 2011 participants will stay on this site until about September of next year when we will update it with full details of 2012 participants.

The Chew Valley Arts Trail is an annual privately run, weekend event showcasing the creative abilities of people who live or work in a beautiful rural area only a few miles south of Bristol. As well as being very close to the famous Chew Valley and Blagdon Fishing Lakes, it is near to Bristol Airport, the Heritage City of Bath and also not far from the City of Wells and the Cheddar caves.
Thirty three venues opened for the weekend of 8th and 9th October 2011 where visitors were able to meet over ninety artists. They included painters, illustrators, printmakers, cartoonists, potters, sculptors, bookbinders, photographers, jewellers, vintage textile and candle makers.
We hope visitors enjoyed a very versatile weekend when they went to studios, homes, outbuildings and village halls. There were opportunities to watch people at work and to discuss their styles and techniques, browse or buy and also to enjoy the countryside of the Chew Valley.
If you visited and wish to send feedback please email: Sandy Bell on tintinna@aol.com - please put Chew Valley Arts Trail feedback in the subject box.
