Graphic designer and former BBC Network Radio Researcher and Producer, Sandy has been drawing and painting all her life. Since moving to Chew Stoke she has continued to develop as a painter under the expert eye of artist, Barry Paine.

Now working mainly in acrylic, she paints a variety of subjects but has a particular love for wildlife, water and nature.

An award winning member and former Press Officer of the Wildlife Art Society, Sandy won one of their prestigious annual prizes for a painting of Macaws.

Last year the Lazy Lobster in Chew Magna commissioned her to paint their wall art featuring a variety of sea life which contributes to the fish restaurant's distinctive atmosphere.

She has produced a wide variety of commissions over the years including locally, the Druid's Arms pub sign in Stanton Drew, featuring the historic Cove Stones.

Organiser of the Chew Valley Arts Trail, with her husband, Ian, and sponsor of this website, she is always happy to talk about her work.
